This new avenue for the team at Ford Rifle
Ranges was requested as a service by a local group of enthusiasts wishing to
utilise our staff's military experience (of being shot at and surviving!) to train them for National
competition in specialist skills and small unit tactics. Core skills taught
include field craft, basic battle skills and patrol techniques to
close-protection and hostage rescue. This has taken off in a big way and the
ranges now have two FIBUA areas, an electronic target CQB range set up,
vehicle ambush drills off-road circuit and use is also made of local farmland
and buildings when permission is available. |
