Welcome to Ford Air Rifle Ranges

We are probably the biggest airgun club in the region!

Set in the West Sussex countryside, Ford Air Rifle Ranges provide safe and supervised indoor and outdoor range facilities though out the year. We offer both private and group memberships, which provide a variety of benefits for our members. We provide five ranges, a club room with refreshments and off-road parking facilities. Please check our facilities page for details.

If the flag is flying...

We are open 7 days a week from 10:00am till 9:30pm with last entry by 08:30PM and closing at 6pm on Sundays
Call us for information or simply pop along to the ranges, everyone is welcome but subject to Police check on new members to protect the club integrity and our younger members.

Updates...
We are pleased to report that our membership numbers continue to climb with over 400 people joining since we opened.
We now have a shop/office, classroom building and a clubhouse! Pest control outings on 2000 acres of land are now being guided by Nocker, Bobby C and James S. 17000 Tons of soil and 120 tons of range sand have gone into the creation of two new valleys creating a 25 yard gallery range and a 100 yard range for small-bore prone rifle.

Terry has taken over from Matthew in the day to day running of the ranges and James is still around but has taken a more backroom role in the scheme of things.

Tom has also started a small archery section and we have club bows and targetry for use if you fancy something different.

Responsible Shooting
Our range is supervised by qualified personnel, who not only can teach you how to shoot safely and responsibly but also how to improve your shooting. We are particularly keen to teach younger people the correct manner in which to handle air weapons and promote responsibility in shooting sports. We run the BASC Young shots air rifle training days and NSRA proficiency and safety courses.

Every month there is a friendly club HFT competition usually on the second Sunday of the month unless the team is away at a National shoot. Visit the UKAHFT Site or the Southern Hunters on our links page for dates and details of National Shoots
We encourage both competition between ourselves and other clubs, so why not try out for our club teams or join in on a casual basis to see whether you enjoy the friendly competition.

We have probably the oldest and youngest Olympic shots as members, Bill White from Yapton is well into his 90s!

Airsoft Battle Games and Training
One of our newest ventures is to provide a safe venue for airsoft battle games and to provide training to enthusiasts wishing to pit themselves against each other and the staff on CQB and FIBUA facilities carrying out hostage rescue, close protection drills, bunker busting, close target reconnaissance and much more. The first weekend of the month is dedicated to this training and exercises. No live ammunition can be used during this period - apologies to the airgunners who don't partake in these activities and have lost one weekend a month

Clay Pigeon Club

The small clay pigeon section shoot a 26 clay sporting layout on five manual traps and are looking forward to the arrival of an all singing and dancing large capacity automatic trap later this month. Eye protection is now mandatory in the clay shooting area by law so please bring some with you. Guests are welcome on this shoot but let us know prior to the day please.

The shoot runs on the third Sunday of each month and starts at 09:00 - last round at 11:30
